Simon Hughes (Partner)

Simon has over 30 years of experience dealing with all kinds of private client work. His expertise extends across several disciplines – for many years he has advised families in relation to Wills, Probate, Trusts and Estate Planning; but he is also an accomplished conveyancing solicitor, able to assist with all aspects of property law including complex commercial property transactions. Before joining Bramhall Solicitors Simon ran the private client department of Rowlands and established a reputation as one of the city’s leading lawyers through his weekly column in the Manchester Evening News. Simon is a family man with five daughters, all of whom have now (thankfully) left home. Simon supports Liverpool FC and is keen on weightlifting and keeping fit generally. As a member of a local church Simon has strong links with the local community which he seeks to serve as a lawyer and also as a committed Christian.

Xavier Patterson (Partner)

Xavier is an extremely experienced solicitor specialising in conveyancing, litigation and family law. He has a friendly and supportive approach particularly in his family law work which clients find invaluable. Xavier was raised in Bramhall and continues to live closeby. He attended a local school and has been involved in the wider community in voluntary work and organizations. The practice offers him further opportunity to put back into the community where he grew up. Xavier now lives a peaceful life with his wife, having seen his two daughters off to university. Xavier’s passion for cooking saw him returning to grass roots so to speak with his vegetable allotment. Under Xavier’s tuition and watchful eye Poynton High School reached the semi finals of the National Mooting Competition. He is a keen collector of old cars and a fan of motorsport. Other interests include Manchester City and sitting as a member of his parish council.
